Drawing The Green Dot

My First Week @ Deloitte

Deloitte offered two weeks of accomodation at the Sherwood BelAir hotel and so on the 26th June, I went to the Belair. No surprises to find that it was a pretty neat place. I was told there would be 3 day orientaion program after which people start their training.

On 27th morning, all of us headed to the ITC - another big hotel - to kick start a career at Deloitte. First thing, we all were given a laptop in a kutty bag.  An i5 4 GB RAM but office monitored one. Yay?! We were then given tables numbers which ensured no one you knew would be anywhere near. A sign of things to come :)

For the entire three day orientation period few phrases kept popping up. "Networking" aka getting to know everyone there, "Welcome to Deloitte" and "Party" which is something you don't hear in every office setting. Of course they also gave a whole lot of information about the company, our job blah blah, most of which just went straight over our heads. I got to meet with a lot of people, most of them very friendly. Lunch was pretty great there :D

I don't know what is it with me and messing up bus rides. On the second day me and a few of our friends missed the company provided bus to the ITC. We got into one of those AC buses and got down at the Richmond Road. We later realised we should have gotten down at the Richmond Circle, the next stop. Getting down at the wrong stop in the first few days seems to have become a tradition to me seeing I have now done the same thing in my school and college :D

There was a small excitement when people found Sehwag was staying at the ITC. A few people even managed to take a photo with him, post it on Facebook and squeeze a few likes out of people. There was one unfortunate dude who after giving the right pose with Sehwag was told his camera/mobile said "Insufficient Memory". Talk about bad luck!

On the third day we were all put into a specific "service line". There was AMS, SAP, OPT, IM, SI whose expansions sound like difficult college subjects! I was put in AMS - OPT and given location center for the training after the third day.

The first day of training was somewhat similar to the first day of my college. FUll of classes straight away. Classes on database for a full day. At the end of the evening, a guy says "You are in IM actually it seems so you will have to join those guys".

So on friday I go along with the IM people. Now these people stay at a different hotel and so already have a gang. So had to spend the day on my own with mails to send telling people about the change.

End of friday Went to Transformers with my relatives. The movie was heavily inspired by old Vijaykanth movies :D

Saturday a guy calls me up and says "Dude I just confirmed that your name is not in the IM people list. So you will join the OPT guys." So had to spend some time mailing people about the change in the change. Ore confusions of India tha :D

There was also some people who were told they had to go for a six weeks training in the Hyderabad office. Company sponsored flight for up and down travel, six weeks accomodation included! Lucky for them.

All in all a very eventful week :)

P.S : The Deloitte logo has a green dot in the end for reasons am not very sure of. Hence the name for the post "Drawing the green dot"

P.P.S : This post does not do full justice to my first week. I might have missed a few things here and there.

Delloite

P.S : This is my 50th post, so cheers to all my readers :)

P.P.S : 49 posts as an unemployed engineer. But now things are a little different :D

Well after a lot of postponing of companies coming to our college, Deloitte turned out to be the first one to come for campus placements. I had never heard of that company before but with my no-idea-what-is-going-on, i went to attend the recruitment process. Now my preparation for Deloitte was,
*) Buy two formal shirts the day before company was to come.
*) Read aptitude questions for about 30 SECONDS.
*) Buy a file to put in my stuff.

Now considering I had a few classmates study R.S.Agarwal book during class hours and few other classmates bunk classes to study - yes! people actually bunk a whole day to study! - I was feeling my chances of getting into the company was lol-able.

First round was Aptitude questions. Nothing too complex. Still I was a little surprised I got through that. Next was a case study. With me talking a lot in my group and my reputation of nobody understanding what I say, I was the only one taken from my group. So again surprisingly got through case study also.

Next was personal interview and phone interview. Personal interview was an one-on-one across the table thing. Phone interview was again on-the-spot kinda thing. Talked my way through both of them. An after a tiring 4 hour wait for others to finish, results finally came out. Sai Santhosh had to made it to the 23 selected people.

As I was texting "Got placed in Delloite" to my friends, I realized I didn't know the spelling of that company for sure :D

So there it is people. With absolutely no serious preparation what so ever, I got placed in the first big interview I attended. And if you are wondering what a supposedly technical guy like me is doing joining Deloitte, you are thinking along the same lines as me.

Wow.. Just Wow..

We all have our way of reacting when we are sad. Some shut down and sleep. Some put their head-phones on and listen to slow songs. Some have long chats in GTalk. But there is one way that is a thousand ways better than the fore mentioned ones.

*) Switch on PC.
*) Open your browser. Go to youtube
*) Enter "Sam Anderson". Or even better try "Wilbur Sargunaraj"
*) View videos
*) If you are still sad, then even God cannot help you.

Let me tell about who these people are.

Sam Anderson. Hero of the movie "Yaaruku Yaaro".
His acting is so lol-able that you will roll on the floor laughing. Literally. Seriously, first time I saw him I was laughing so hard on the floor that I couldn't speak for another twenty minutes. This man, apart from helping you get over your sadness, will make you think "Ivane nadikum bothu(If he himself can act), we can do anything we desire". So putting it simply, he is one hell of an inspirational guy though in a purely unintentional way.

Wilbur Sargunaraj. Dance King, Drummer, Musical Sensation.
Check out his site. This guy sings so happily and with such enthusiasm that he is the ultimate role model for any fun-loving person. His song titles like "Appa, Amma I Want The Love Marriage", "Please Check My Blog" and "The Chicken 65 Song" say enough about him. This guy sings so jolly, its a whole new genre. Do check his songs on youtube. Or if you are lucky enough to be in the city where he is performing(Yes! He performs globally), DO NOT MISS IT.

Men like these are a rare species. A really really rare species. They are the true entertainers.
Legends.

Just goes to say what I said in one of my previous post. God is Great :)

The Typical Sourashtra Wedding

It is official. My cousin Abinaya is no longer a bachelorette.

Here goea a short account on the funnier side of Abi's wedding :)

The difficult thing in these wedding is I have so many cousins in abroad with children that it is kind of hard to keep track of who is whose kid. I mean I d get killed if I go up to my bro Arvind who has one daughter and ask him how his eldest son is doing :D I am thinking of suggesting that all below five years wear jersey like in a football game.

The other big problem for someone who is studying in Madurai is to have your cousins constantly whine about how poor Madurai is. I keep hearing "Hey Banglore is not at all hot ya.", "Banglore is not such a boring place man". And there is this "Australian" brother who keeps talking in a weird voice saying "Hey thats not how we do it in Australia". I later learnt that the weird voice he was trying was the Australian accent.

And following current trend, everyone above 20 years will get the "talk" from almost all grown ups. They tell you "Don't commit yourself to any girl. - pause - If you do, make sure she knows Sourashtra". Sadly you are not gonna draw any friendly glances if you ask if its enough she speaks "ruvo ruvo" (little little) Sourashtra or that she actually has to be a Sourashtrian.

A word about the jomans (food servings) is a must here. The food is so heavily loaded that it can nullify a year's worth of diet in a single sitting. I keep praying to God that someone will bring a change in the menu but looks like it won't happen in the foreseeable future.

Abi's wedding would have been near perfect but for the average age of the people who attended it. I mean, sure the blessings of the elders are needed during these functions. But a few more younger people would have definitely kept things more interesting ;)

Ergonoxis Night

Ergonoxis - A 12 hour programming contest conducted from 6pm to 6am on Feburary 27th(Saturday).

Arguably one of the most memorable nights of my college life. All the excitement started at around 5 pm when I made two of my more interesting mistakes I have made over the phone. All while watching the B Arch people dance. Ah the girl in the front with the open hair and the blue jeans was stunning. Thanks to her, I got to the contest at 7pm.

Now me and Sowmy along with Surya and Viswa were the ones from our class. We found ourselves couple of PCs in a corner and settled in. Half an hour later the whole room was filled with people looking all serious and occupied. No one among us four took the contest too seriously.

We spent most of the night roaming around the college in the dark talking and occasionally polambifying :D The dinner at the roadside shop turned out to be pretty decent. The night went on with Viswa's singing and philosophic sayings, Surya's weird looking dance steps and Sowmy's silent observations.

Things began to get more and more weird as the night grew. I got stuck with a C problem and began to have long conversations with the monitor. Surya recorded this in his cell "It's 4 am and I am awake. I have never been awake this late. But am not sure if I am awake now" :D Viswa was fully asleep by then. Sowmy was semi-asleep and would occasionally wake up to tell me that I am thinking too complicated for a sappa problem.

While me and Sowmy solved a few problems, Surya managed to solve a particularly nasty problem which no one else finished. So at the end of the day (or rather the beginning in this case) we were all pretty happy.

Thanks to Ergonoxis I learnt a few things.

- Never say important things over the phone.

- The definition "Programmer /n./ A red-eyed, mumbling mammal capable of conversing with inanimate objects" is actually true.

- Going a night without any sleep is not that hard. You just need a few friends to keep company.

Capital Problem

Well there I am in my Visual Programming lab doing my semester practicals. I write a simple program. One function call another function

myframe()
{
create(0,"hello");
}

And i get the error:
"create" variable not initialized.

I have no idea what this means. Basic programming skills tells you "create" is a function and not a variable here.

I spend an hour - a full 60 minutes - to find out what's wrong. Then I find the mistake.
Apparently in VC++, create() and CREATE() are the same. But Create() is not. An hour wasted because of a single letter. Darn.

Exam Superstitions

Everyone has their own superstitions during exam time. Three years in college and I think the superstitions of me and my friends have only become weirder. Here is what we do to ensure we write the exams well.

.) When I start studying, the time has to be a round-ed off number like 7,8,9 etc. Postpone the start till such a number it reached.

.) Same applies for the time I start to write exams. Sadly my sem exams start at 1:45. So I lose 15 min every exam.

.) A friend of my cousin needs to see the stray dog around their department before going to the hall.

.) A friend wears the same jean the next time if he did the previous exam well. Even if it is unwashed.

.) Sowmy needs to take his scientific calculator to all his exams. Even if it is only English.

.) Me and Sowmy have to drink water just before entering the hall.

.) Me and my friends have to go to the examination hall in the same path every day.

.) Added recently, me and Sowmy need to see a certain someone to do the exams well.

.) Added more recently, I shouldn't see a certain someone else to do the exams well.

.) My bag has to be kept near Sowmy's bag. Even if we are in different halls.

.) Finally, I always need to have more than one blue pen. Even if one doesn't write.

Linux, The Anti Virus? :P

Well I switched on my PC after a four day break in which I had gone to Chennai. And I am welcomed by this pop up box. A virus. Great!

I was actually a little happy that something like this happened because it proved that avast! was doing something to protect my pc( I had long doubted if it did anything at all). Mr.avast! showed the same trojan was present in all my drives. I clicked delete and for a full five seconds everything seemed fine. Then the pop up came. Again. Same trojan, same place. The trojan refused to get deleted. Well guess avast! is not exactly the best anti-virus around.

I thought I would delete it personally but the file wasn't visible. Of course. It wasn't a hidden file too. Well after trying to solve this using Autorun Eater, Spyware Terminator both of which are in my PC and being too lazy to find a better anti-virus, I began to wonder if it was time to format my PC. Then I remembered something. Linux.

I have a distro of Linux (TOSS) in my PC. Now TOSS and Windows are two different OS and have their own way of handling files. So I went into TOSS and into my C Drive. And there it was, the trojan sitting pretty. It had even created a text file of size 1.5 GB! After a few seconds hesitation, I shift+deleted the trojan from all the drives and any other suspicious files. Restart. Windows started without much fuss. No trouble from trojans. avast! went back to do it's job(which am still not sure about).

Though the method to get rid of the trojan seemed crude, it did work and my PC has been running well so far. Linux ftw i guess :)

Love?

When my eyes to her was drawn,
I knew not what i was feeling,
All other thoughts were gone,
For she was my only first love.

I was with her for five long years,
But never once did she know this;
Away from her now, I am in tears,
For she was my only first love.

To me she will forever appear a star,
Ever beautiful and beyond my reach,
Her memories will now only be a scar,
For she was my only first love.

I know she will one day go her own way,
'Cos she is as pretty and free as a dove;
Someday someone is gonna take her away,
For she was my only lost love.

P.S : The poem is about my first crush exaggerated for poetic reasons :D

Naming Convention

It always makes me wonder how people can mess a name as simple as mine. Let me tell you what I mean.

My EDC mam thought my name was Sai Shankar.
HOD thought it was Shankar.
EDC Lab mam thought it was Sai Saravanan.
So did the other sec boys for sometime. :D
Apple lab mam thought it was Sarvesh Gautham/Sai Vignesh.
uP sir thought it was Sowmya Narayan.
OS mam thinks(still :D) it is Sai Krishna.

I even had a boy from the other sec come to me and ask earnestly "Dei unnoda unmayana per ennada?" Lol!

Note : My real name is Sai Santhosh :)

Shift+Delete

I have a drive full of movies. And soon I ran out of space. So I decided to remove few movies. Cars got shift+deleted. Next was Angels and Demons. But this popped out an error. "The file does not exist in the system" or something very similar to that. I tried deleting the folder again. Same error. I restarted my system. The error didn't change. I couldn't understand what was going on. How could the file not exist??? I mean, it was right in front of my eyes.

I googled and found many strange solutions for this strange error. I tried many of them but in vain. I tried to create a rar file out of it and encountered same error. Yet the movie inside the folder ran perfectly fine. This kept me wondering for a few days. Then I did what I always do under these circumstances.

Restart. Go to Ubuntu. Mount the media. Now I tried Shift+Deleting the file. Angels and Demons was deleted successfully. What Windows failed to do, Ubuntu accomplished without a fuss. Ofcourse I still don't have a clue why that error came. But from experiences like these I have learnt something.

If something doesn't work in Windows, try in Ubuntu.
If you want to do something, try Ubuntu.
If it doesn't work in Ubuntum it's not worth doing.

IV To Ooty :)

Just a small poem about my dept IV. I haven't gone into any specific details of the trip, just an overview :)

The IV started on the 9th of July,
Into the sky did the crackers fly;
Our industrial visit was to Ooty,
For it was finally time to party!

An hour before midnight we started,
Into two big buses were we seated;
The drive at night didn't scare us,
Cos all the dancing made it no fuss.

It was drizzling when we saw our hotel,
Ah, the chilling climate had a lot to tell;
All day we were shivering under the sky,
Yet somehow all our moods were on a high.

All the places we saw had their own view,
I cannot fathom how fast the time flew;
We all danced to tunes, even the shy ones,
The questions session involved many a puns.

With many sighing hearts did the buses return,
The trip to ooty cannot easily be forgotten;
The co ordinators had done one hell of a job,
Remembering reguar classes all I can do is sob.

No Single Soul

My life for long has been so bare,
For none came to show me some care,
Life for me had once been much better,
For I got no single soul to talk.

I feel my old friends are very far away,
For they have all gone their own way;
Now I have these new people 'round me,
Yet I got no single soul to talk.

Few people did make me open my mind,
And they all seemed to be very kind;
But in the end all I feel is regret,
So I got no single soul to talk.

They seemed to find my words so funny,
Yet every word I said was said in pain;
They made jokes of my memories and so,
Now I got no single soul to talk.

What's gone wrong???

- Empty seats in the IPL matches. No jam-packed crowd for a twenty 20 match?

- Yet to see a 200 plus score in this IPL.

- Still no joy for Ferrari :(

- A debut team is having - to quote from espnstar.com - "too much brute force for his rivals to seriously compete".

- Neither Raikkonen nor Hamilton have a won a race so far this season!

- The face of Roger Federer with the Champion's cup is in the papers no more.

- Manchester United lost a semi final!

- Berbatov is running - yes running! - during a game.

- My happy-go-lucky friend says "I ve studied couple of units in SS". (And we re only in the study holidays)

- My geeky friend says "seriously me full time ipl,epl and fpl only".

- And I am suddenly having thoughts about studying during study holidays. (Hopefully these feelings will go away for they are very disturbing).

Intel 945G - Not The Worst?

I have owned a computer for as long as I can remember. And none of the computers I owned ever had one of em "dedicated"( ah, how I hate that word) graphic cards. Guess the main reason for that is my father knows good deal about computers and hence knows "graphic cards" means "hardcore-gaming". And let's face it. No father is gonna let their son ruin(are so they are led to believe) their lives playing games 24x7. Hence I have always been left to contend with the Intel 945G chipset(now that's another word I have grown to dread).

I can never forgot the times I had to sit through half an hour of solid installation only to be shown a message like this (accompanied of course by the all-too-famous Bump! sound). After a few more double clicks I would be forced to accept the painful truth.

Couldn't they just do a small test before the actual installation in lieu of wasting my time and tell me that their high-end game makes my PC a goner? Ah, fate does enjoy such petty moments I guess.

Of course few games did run on my PC. And I am very thankful for that. The better games that have been kind enough to run on my PC were Warrior Within, T2T, NFS MW and FIFA(after a lot of prayers, 09 worked) etc. It goes without saying that these didn't look at their best but hey, anything is better than that error message na. This was all before that fateful day when I was googling for fun.

For people who share my lugubriousness in gaming, I have two words. SwiftShader and 3d-Analyzer. I stumbled upon these softwares and they provided, inter alia, an option for "emulating HW TnL capabilities". My eyes immediately lit up because the absence of this "HW TnL"(no idea what it actually is) was sited as one of the reasons why games failed to run on my PC. Hence I tried to gives these a try.

The error message shown in the pic came when I tried to run Return Of The King. And being a huge fan of LoTR I was much disappointed.I tried the game with 3d-analyze and it worked! I was kinda taken aback by this uncanny behaviour showed by my PC. RoTK turned out to be a pretty decent game in the end :)

And the good news didn't stop there. A whole other bunch of games which had previously belittled my PC suddenly worked fine. The list included Splinter Cell, Portal, Deus Ex2 etc. But as with all things, they too had their shortcomings. A few other games failed too. Inspite of that, I finally decided that the Intel chipset(that word now seems ok) was after all, not the worst in the buisness.

P.S : To people who have "high-end" PCs I have this to say - "A day will come when you too shall hear the Bump! error"

From Licensed To Open Source

For years I had been a user of the Windows OS. I came to know about the concept of Open Source only during my late schooling days. That was thanks to a chapter dedicated to Linux in my 11th which explained in great detail about the commands used in Linux. For someone used to doing stuff by click-and-point actions I was not very impressed by this new idea. Hence my first impression of Linux was that it was not user-friendly.

As I started my college, the words "Open Source" and "Linux" seemed to pop up everywhere. Hence I decided to check out this non-user-friendly difficult-to-use (or so I thought) Linux . Enter Ubuntu. I was asked too many questions during installation. At one point I was so confused I gave up installing it half-way.After few days and some advise from friends, I successfully installed Ubuntu in my PC. A feeling of satisfaction filled me :D

In the next few days, I struggled through the ways of Ubuntu. The GNU available was the only familiar thing compared to Windows. I found myself using the Terminal more and more ( I haven't used DOS for more than ten minutes totally in all my life). Yet in those few days I learned more than what I had learned from all the time I used in Windows. Soon the only reason I logged into Windows was to play FIFA which being an EXE file would not normally run in a Linux Distro.

After all this I began to wonder why the Open Source softwares where not widely used. The migration seemed too slow considering the lucrative offer Open Source was. I discussed this with my brothers - all working in big multi national companies - and found out few reasons for this lack of migration.

  • Most of the companies have such large storage of data that the migration would take months - valuable time which cannot be wasted in this competitve world.
  • The lack of technical skills available when it comes to handling Open Source applications. Most people feel comfortable with Windows rather than Linux.
  • The muscle power of the big multi-national companies. These companies can simply buy off - thanks to their huge revenue - the smaller Open Source softwares.
  • While Open Source is a collection of ideas from all over the world, the Licensed products comes from a single source.This means the latter has much greater unity compared to the former.
But then all this does not mean Windows is inferior to Linux. Far from it. Windows does offer much more features compared to Linux. The only problem is that it curtails the freedom of the end user. The whole point of Linux is 'free' - free as in the user is allowed to do whatever he wishes to do with the product.
The basic difference between the Windows and Linux can be best explained by this example. Windows is like an automated car - you don't need to do much but lose the control over the system and Linux is like a geared car - you have much to do with which comes full control. It is upto the people to choose between the two.

Thungo Mogo Juku Juku Opai ;)

I recently read an article in The Hindu saying that India tops the list of countries with maximum number of endangered dialects. This caught my eye for the simple reason that my mother tongue is Saurashtra and I wondered if it was included in that list. Thankfully, after googling I was happy to find out that my language had not been pushed to that state yet.

In the six years I spent in Chennai I had people constantly asking me what language I spoke. It came as no surprise when they gave me a blank reaction when I replied saying it was Saurashtra. Not many people are aware of the existence of such a language given the fact that the only place where there is significant population of Saurashtrians is Madurai.

Like the word 'Sangrail' can be split in two ways to give two different meanings (the meanings can be found in the Da Vinci Code), so can the word be Saurashtra be split in two ways. Split as "Sou"(meaning 100) and "rashtra"(meaning region) it can be understood as the "province of 100 regions". But split as "Saura" ( meaning Sun) and "shtra"(prefix word) it may mean "Worshippers of Sun".

Geographically Saurashtra refers to that part of Gujarat which is a peninsula. The highlighted portion in the picture gives the more accurate description of the region.

It is believed that the Saurashtra speaking people originated from this part of India. This explains the close resemblance the language has with Marathi and Konkani, both Indo-Aryan languages of Western India.

As the region lies on the Arabian Sea, most of the Saurashtrians followed waeving as their occupation. This remains true even now for most Sourashtrians still depend on weaving for their livelyhood.

There is no actual historical evidence as to how or when these people - my ancestors - migrated to the Southern part of India. But it is generally accepted that the Saurashtrian people were forced to leave their homeland due to continuous invasion of their land which led to much suffering and loss. Hence they migrated in large groups to Southern India bringing with them their maginificent skill in weaving. Since then many Saurashtrians have entered other fields and excelled in that(T.M. Soundararajan is a good example).

For a long time I had believed that Saurashtra was only a dialect for I had never seen any writing in that language. But I was proved wrong during a recent visit to a temple in Madurai where I found slokas written in the actual Saurashtra script. Yet sadly the language is not taught in any schools and the script would have been lost but for the magnanimous effort of few Saurashtrians.

Here are a few helpful quotes in Saurashtra that are worth learning...

*Avo - 'Come'

*Thungo mogo juku juku opai - 'I like you very very much' :D

*Thora nav kayo? - 'What is your name?'

*Thora number kayo? - 'What is your number'

*Bharad jayengan ya? - 'Wanna go out?'

*Jaara pisa - Podaa loose

*Tho atho kai paje? - 'What do you want'?

*Thoro kaam seeli jaa - 'Mind your own buisness'

For more translations pls comment and I ll translate em ;)

The Empty Test Note

I wake up on a Friday with full confusion,
Thanks to all the late night preparations;
My mind is buzzing with stuff from Maths,
I know luck is my only hope to get a pass.

With two test notes I enter the examination hall,
One look at the questions make my heart fall;
The only bright side was I needed only one note,
Later I decide to leave the hall with my mind afloat.

I wake up on the Monday feeling little satisfied,
With decent preparation I was no longer terrified;
Again I entered the hall but now with no tension,
But when I saw the test note I was in confusion.

'Maths' was on 'Subject' column in the test note,
When i realized things my heart so nearly broke;
The events of Friday in my mind soon begin to run,
And if I still had the answer note, then the empty one...

The Road Not Taken

I wrote this during my counseling for getting into college after my 12th. Here it goes.

Two roads diverged in the yellow woods,
One of them led to SSN IT in Chennai,
The other lesser known one to TCE C Sc,
And it was a difficult decision to make.

The road to SSN was today s trend,
Also it meant i can be with my friends;
But high fee no dream job it had,
And it was a difficult decision to make.

Lesser known of the two to me shown,
A path where i had to start alone;
It would be a new adventure for me,
And it was a difficult decision to make.

Finally like tat poet i chose the lesser one,
Since i knew i wud never be alone anywhere;
I don't regret this decision or so i hope,
For it was a difficult decision made.

Note : I wrote this knowing nothing about the two colleges except from what I heard from others. So any attempts in judging them at that time were meaningless.

The Story As Hero

One fine evening ( I know this sounds like such a cliche, but still...) my friends call me to see some movie called Bommalatam. I hadn't seen much movies lately and as my interests in movies have been steadily falling I had no idea what the movie was about. I actually thought I was going for a Telugu movie or something :)

Ten minutes into the movie i got the feeling that this was no hero-falls-in-love-with-heroine-and-fights-the-villain kinda movie. This surprised me. Cos, for almost a year most of the films have had love as the story's core and I am fed up with them.

I admit the first half was bit confusing but still by no measure boring. It was little hard to keep up with what exactly was going on. And before i knew, it was interval. Another odd thing for a tamil movie for it seemed it was a 1 hr 45 min movie. In that intermission gap i learn the movie was supposed to be a thriller. The first half agreed with that.

Second half is the part where the movie kept me guessing. Having seen few weird english movies, i thought of all kinds of possible story lines. And when the plot was revealed, I admit not in a thousand years could I have guessed it. There is also few other twists that catches the viewers off-guard.

But all this doesn't mean the movie was a perfect one. Far from it. It had it's own share of loop holes and drawbacks. But the story more than makes up for it.

Finally a movie with a superb story. I left the theater with a satisfied feeling. Forty rupees well spent.
